For most of the industry’s existence, pharmaceuticals have primarily consisted of simple, fast-acting chemical compounds that are dispensed orally (as solid pills and liquids) or as injectables. During the past few decades, however, formulations that control the rate and period of drug delivery (i.e., time-release medications) and target specific areas of the body for treatment have become increasingly common and complex. Because of researchers’ ever-evolving understanding of the human body and the explosion of new and potential treatments resulting from discoveries of bioactive molecules and gene therapies, pharmaceutical research is constantly working on advancements. We are a part of that journey in more ways than one. Our R&D and Manufacturing teams have successfully engineered several innovative drug delivery systems. For instance to handle insoluble compounds we have provided the solution in the administering of a tuberculosis drug.
Effectiveness, safety and convenience of existing drugs and enhancing next-generation drug delivery is what we are constantly exploring.
