Synthesis and special purification methodologies
Triclosan belongs to a group of Organic entities classified under the category of Hydroxy-poly halogenated diphenyl ethers. The molecular structure suggests a delicate Hydrophilic - lipophilic balance, responsible for the antibacterial activity. Triclosan has emerged over the years as the most powerful antibacterial due to its broad bactericidal properties & an acceptable toxicological profile.
Triclosan is synthesized by a "prestructured sequence" meaning that all major functionalities are incorporated at early stages of its complex synthesis, hence leading to predetermined levels of purity and activity.
The last element of the synthetic sequence culminates in the Hydrolytic substitution reaction, which yields Triclosan.
Purification: To give our customers the best and the most reproducible quality of the product a series of columnar reverse extractions are performed; followed by High Vacuum distillation and crystallization. All these complex processes are at all steps controlled by in process QA backed by PDA monitored HPLCs.

VIV-20 IN PLASTICS & POLYMERS
Special extrusion processes are employed to incorporate Triclosan into the plastic - polymer matrix, hence creating inbuilt antibacterial properties. Studies have revealed that with inbuilt levels of Triclosan, plastics & polymers offer longer and most durable anti-bacterial effects.
VIV-20 IN DEODORANTS
A strong reduction in body malodor can be achieved with low concentrations of VIV-20. Recommended concentration (0.15%-0.20%).
VIV-20 has fast and long lasting action in reduction of skin bacteria of axillae thereby restoring the initial healthy skin flora. VIV-20 is very safe on the skin even under long term usage. VIV-20 can counteract the effects of surfactants by reducing its irritation potential in the formulation.VIV-20 is soothing on irritated skin and helps in the healing of affected skin. VVIV-20 IN HAND CREAMS
VIV-20 has long lasting anti -bacterial effects against pathogenic gram+and gram- bacteria thus reducing the risk of contamination with pathogenic bacteria. VIV-20 provides good protection in high risk situations of day to day life against transfer of pathogenic bacteria like in food handling.VIV-20 containing products have a high water resistance. Even after several rinsing cycles, hands rubbed with VIV-20 are well protected against growth of pathogens. Microbiological studies have shown VIV-20 is effective against Salmonell&Staphylococcus aureus which play a role in cross-contamination ( MIC is 0.5ppm&0.1ppm respectively).

VIV-20 IN SHAVING PRODUCTS
Microbiological studies have shown VIV-20 containing products have long lasting broad spectrum anti-bacterial activity. VIV-20 IN ANTI-ACNE PRODUCTS
VIV-20 containing anti-acne products provide a long lasting anti bacterial activity against acne causing bacteria. VIV-20 is effective in preventing the growth of Staphylococcus aureus in the inflamed pustles.
